Our basketball team stays at the Hilton Garden Inn right across the street, right next to the Super 8 and in the same parking lot as the Cardinal place. Great inexpensive hotel and great location.

You should check to see if UofL plays at home that weekend. If they do, you will not find a hotel close to the racetrack for very cheap. They do not play at home, try any hotel on Crittenden drive. There are about 4-5 hotels there for your choosing. Also check Southern Indiana as well. That is a real short drive to the track. There is also a Holiday Inn on 3rd and Broadway that isnt too bad. Good luck

This will be more expensive than similar in the area but agree, great place with the Cardinal a walk away.
