Than you can't say your the best if you have to duck the Breeders Cup completely or the Classic specifically. What's BB gonna do that weekend??....if they take to the green they'll find a little different gathering than a Saratoga MSW. They can say what they want but BB's last was far from the efforts in Ky and Fla. The connections want to be crowned but don't have a king who wants to earn it. They gain nothing running in Jersey but the purse....respect is about winning BIG races not earnings. I'm surprised the connections don't get to fill the field with hand picked claimers so BB doesn't crack a sweat. |

![]() If he wants the Brown horse, he knows where to find him come mid september.
I just dont understand how Jackson gets a pass for ducking the BCC and Big Brown's connections get hell for wanting to wait until the championship for a showdown. |

A win over Big Brown for Curlin, would mean more than another victory in a "grade 1" over the likes of Baracola or Evening Attire. |

What would mean something would be for Big Brown to come to the dirt and take on Curlin. I beg them, right now, throw down the guantlet and declare they want to meet at the Clark. If Jackson doesn't show up then he's the pu$$y. As long as IEAH keeps trying to, for the first time in American history determine the championship on something other than dirt, then they are being the pussies. |

What the hell is in it for Jackson, and for that matter, what is in it for him to try Curlin on synthetics, where his horse (as many have done) will potentially run lousy and damage his legacy with the idiots who put synthetic on the same level as dirt. I don't get it. Synthetic surfaces have been a boardwide joke around here, and now when Jackson doesn't want to risk his horse hating the tires, he's being a chicken. Big Brown's supposed to be a freak on dirt. So what the hell was the problem with the Woodward? And what would've been the problem with the JCGC? You really think that if IEAH had announced that they were going to the JCGC, Curlin wouldn't have been there? But no, they're taking their "superhorse" to a fraudulent turf stake at Monmouth. Great drama.. You might as well take the freaking horse to Finger Lakes. Either way, they'll be creating a race for you with little to no incentive for anyone else to show up. Big Brown is on the run, and Curlin, who's already proven his mettle, isn't the one who should be chasing. |

Exactly...........This is Big Brown's year. Let Curlin come to him. Big Brown has already solidified top 3 yr old. When he wins BCC, I can't wait for the backlash when he wins HOY. |

![]() For a horse that has won five out of six Grade 1 races including the Derby and Preakness, how is this horse so disrespected by some of you? If you want to disrespect Big Brown's connections, I get that, but this has been a very good quality horse for us to enjoy this year.
Since the Preakness (5-0), he gets so much blustering on here. Here's what happened since then: How about a pass on The Belmont? Gimme a break. Third race in five weeks and who knows why he didn't show up, just speculation. But it wasn't the same Big Brown. You don't think he would normally beat Da'Tara a horse that finished the Florida Derby when Big Brown was a zipcode past the finish line? And then there was The Haskell that hardly any on here give him credit for. His chasing down Coal Play to win is very similar to Affirmed chasing the front running Sensitive Prince in the last 100 yards in the Jim Dandy that Laz Barrera considered one of Affirmed's finest efforts. Big Brown did the same thing and gets little credit. Memo to Big Brown Bashers........."Give it a rest." |

The three year old crop sucks, the connections brashness make him very hard to root for, he is already assured of being retired after this year and he simply isnt that talented in terms of past champions. No one is saying that he is a 10 claimer but if you dont understand why people would not buy into the "greatness" of BB or his chances of beating Curlin, I am wondering what you have been following this year? |

The difference is I have chosen to not allow the bad chemistry of his connections taint his spotlight. So it's Big Brown's fault that you and others perceive that the 3 yr old crop sucks? It's amazing to me how so many say (not saying you) Big Brown would be just average in a different field, yet these are the same people scolding others when someone tries to hypothetically compare horses. Example how would Smarty Jones have done vs. Barbaro? It can't be answered, they never raced. Just like you don't know that Big Brown would or would not have won the Kentucky Derby vs. the 2006 field? |

Newsflash.....when Curlin wins The Woodward and The JCGC he will lock up horse of the year. His only loss was a game 2nd to a BC Winner....BB"s was a dismal last against a bunch of pretty sad horses. |
