New Approach is available at 6's on betfair right now. To me, that's a cracking each way bet, but then again, I expected him to win both Guineas!

See, I don't think Washinton Irving is that good, in fact, I don't think he is actually much at all, other than hype. This is one of the main reasons in can't have Casual Conquest on my mind. I think both will struggle. (watch them dominate and pay a huge exacta now!!!)
i love playing hype horses after the hype has died down on them. I dont think there is that much between most of the O'Brien horses so Washington i think is the best bet for me, but i can only really see him being a non threatening 2nd or 3rd a la Eagle Mountain..

I put a nice big bet on New Approach at 6s just there, it is just too big for a horse like him..

I wish I was one of those "in the know" who managed to back him at bigger than 50's!!

Why didn't you think he could?

He had the best form in the race, he was the highest rated and this season he has finished runner up to probably the best miler in europe (perhaps the world this year). How on earth he was allowed to touch 13/2 on track is beyond me.

If he hadn't have run in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, what price would he have been? I'm guessing about 2/1, maybe shorter than that.

He hated the firm ground in Ireland, and that was visible from watching it, but he still finished 2nd in a classic - that is what many people seemingly forgot.

Over the moon for this fella, not to happy about Bolger winning it, but I can't have the best of both worlds.

Well done New Approach.
