As for whether or not he's a legit contender, I have no clue. Haven't seen enough of this colt to have an unbiased opinion.

Bill Finley wrote an article about him a few weeks ago: (http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/hor...ill&id=3230176) Apparently their primary objective at this point is the Belmont Stakes.
I started a thread about the horse in the "International Racing" room awhile ago, but nobody seemed to know much about him.

Heard talk of this horse on "ATR" on Tuesday. Steven Allday I believe it was. Said it was rumored to have a tendon issue and that the :46 workout was for a sale..... Other than that he said he liked the horse, but not much of a chance on making it/winning the Derby.

If nothing else, he's interesting. How many 2yo's do you know that have beaten 3yo's going any distance, let alone a mile and a half?!?!?

Fortanyo the horse that ran second to Tomcito in a stake was an unraced national horse, meaning he was bred in Peru. The national horses would be lucky to win at Beulah, yet Tomcito beat him by only 3. For the record that was Tomcitos 5th race. A maiden ran second, and it was a national maiden.

Tomcito was defeated by an unraced maiden named Codigo De Honor. Hes a better bred ARG horse. That was after Tomcito had raced twice.

I take back what I said about the horse being lucky to win an allowance. He will be lucky to win for 30 straight 3s.
