Wow, more anti-Miami. I spend a lot of time in Hialeah. It's changed a lot in 10 years. One of my favorite restaurants, El Viajante is there on Palm Ave.

Nah, I'm not anti-Miami. I just hate it when places that were once good are now overrun by crime. P.S. I grew up in areas that most describe as "NWA" and riddled with crime, so that's why it's a personal vendetta.

I love Miami. I don't doubt what Chuck said but I have had a great time in that city and I don't mean just in South Beach.

We were just saying that the track isn't in the greatest of neighborhoods. Not dissing on Miami in general. But where Hialeah Race Track is, is NOT in the best of neighborhoods.

I have no problem with Miami.....as long as I'm armed! Seriously I spent 12 straight years down there for the winter and it is a great place to hang out for a few of the colder months. But in some areas there is a real crime problem that exists.

That I understand. I grew up in a mixed working class Detroit neighborhood. It was nice. Now they are bulldozing entire streets in that neighborhood.

Just curious, STS, which part of Detroit did you grow up in?

West Side! I grew up in Redford-- Six Mile and Beech Daly area. Not too far away. Redford is a working class neighborhood probably similar to where you were living back in the day. I always have the impression that Redford is a lot like Detroit used to be before everything spun out of control. Now I'm in Farmington Hills.

lol. Redford was where the rich kids lived (before they moved to F Hills). Just kidding. My cousin played for Redford. Class of 79.
