Default Magna Grad

Man, it was cold as sh*t that day Magna Graduate won the Clark. Which brings me to a question that I've always wanted to ask serious handicappers. Do you guys ever take into consideration the conditions (other than the track surface and, for some guys, wind speed/direction) at the track that day? I mean, I think of it like I would if I had to get out there and run in 80 degrees vs. 25 degrees....I would be more in my stride in 80 degree weather than I would in 25 degree weather. Are horses not that sensitive to the temperature I guess? It just seems like their muscles would be tighter and less limber in cold weather vs. warm. At least that's usually how I am!! So, I guess what I'm saying is, if I'm looking for yet ANOTHER excuse to bet against MG, would the cold weather possibly be one of them??

I have always kind of wondered if MG would have held off Suave in that stretch duel if it would have been more ideal conditions, more condusive to each horse performing to their potential.

Oh, and it's got to suck to be a jock out there on 20-30 degree days...
