In my mind I know she's the best horse in the race with good odds. Then I have to deal with Desormeaux on her back.

Can't justify horse racing to my son in law who is new to the "sport". Maybe I should wonder why I justify it to myself.

Perhaps both you and your son in law ought to find a new "sport". Kent D's personal issues have been well documented, but this assertion is nebulous, disparaging, and unfounded.

There was nothing wrong with that ride. Bad luck, period.

Never said a thing about his personal life. As a jock you need to give your horse an opportunity to win. He didn't in this case.

As for my statement about my son in law. It's very difficult to get those who are not horse racing fans involved. It's even harder when you have rides like this one.

Again. Never said a thing about his personal life. But you did. Why is that? And to tell people they should find another sport is probably one of the reasons horse racing isn't popular at all.

What race were you watching ? perfect ground saving covered up trip hoss just had nothing that's why he didn't win. He had room enough when it mattered, when the hole closed, it was a foregone conclusion. Best thing to could tell your son in law is that he probably knows more than you do

I guess getting your horse in trouble as long as you save ground is a good ride nowadays. why the snippy comment?
