Exclamation Unlikely but possible

What happens in an unlikely scenario where AP loses the Haskell? Do the fans rip the place down? It could happen. I was there when I believe it was the
Long Branch and the odds on favorite broke a rein going into the first turn. Horse and rider went right and out of the race. The fans went ballistic where the announcer had to explain what happen before a riot ensued.

What will happen? The teller lines will be nice and short after the race. That's about it.

I still have Haskell win bet tickets on Spend A Buck in my scrapbook. He wasn't a mortal lock like AP, and Skip Trial was a heck of a horse, but still... it could happen.

I assume if he loses you won't have to worry about what the fans will do, as it will clearly signal the coming apocalypse, and the end of the world will be at hand.

I was there and if I remember correctly Spend a Buck went off at 1-20. It was the lowest I've ever seen in almost 60 years of going to the track. I think Skip Trial paid $74 to win.

That was horrible to get in and out of there. I think I got home at like midnight and spent like 5 hours on a 1 1/2 hour drive.

We usually go to Monmouth on a Friday and I recommend it. You get to enjoy the track and it's not overly crowded. Pick a nice weather day and you'll really enjoy it. Nice place.

Pharoah on Haskell Day, no thanks.

I wonder if that was said right before Jim dandy beat gallant fox at 100-1?
Yeah, he may win for fun...but they still gotta run the race.

I saw Big Brown race there and it was a wet day and it was a Saturday. that was doable. if the haskell was Saturday it would be much better for traffic.

This I'm not so sure. The only way is if it rains. That will keep some of the south to north Pkwy traffic slightly lighter on Sunday evening.

considering... but I hate that ride home. Going to take minimum 3+hrs...with work Monday.

and the parking is irrelevant. This is a possible one time only event to see a trip winner.

so if you go....i salute you.
