Even if Monmouth received 100% of the takeout (forgetting all taxes and purse agreements etc.), each car parked would have to churn ~$117 off the $20 to offset the pure revenue of the parking. Given the casual nature of the crowd on Haskell Day, that would be highly unlikely. Also unlikely is, when seeing the Triple Crown winner, people will be dissatisfied because of a $20 parking fee.

I was far more bothered by his misuse of "there" when it should have been their.

Exclamation Unlikely but possible

What happens in an unlikely scenario where AP loses the Haskell? Do the fans rip the place down? It could happen. I was there when I believe it was the
Long Branch and the odds on favorite broke a rein going into the first turn. Horse and rider went right and out of the race. The fans went ballistic where the announcer had to explain what happen before a riot ensued.

What will happen? The teller lines will be nice and short after the race. That's about it.

I still have Haskell win bet tickets on Spend A Buck in my scrapbook. He wasn't a mortal lock like AP, and Skip Trial was a heck of a horse, but still... it could happen.

I assume if he loses you won't have to worry about what the fans will do, as it will clearly signal the coming apocalypse, and the end of the world will be at hand.
