Yeah, and let's not forget, he's the half-brother of Pine Island and is of the line of Maplejinksy, Gold Beauty, etc. Just being by Dynaformer and doing what he has would be enough to jump on making him a stallion at this point, but he's got the female family for it. After what happened to Pine Island you don't keep going back to the well too much after injury. Not to imply that family is made of glass, but you don't press your luck, esp. when you're trying to justify the expense of insurance, training, etc. up against what he's likely to add to his value. If they were to lose him, that'd be the top two offspring from that mare just gone and obviously no more Dynaformer to breed back to. It's not like his sons are at his level as stallions yet (if they ever will be). Adena's banking on him maybe being his father's successor and they want that gene combo in circulation. I don't get why they don't try to get another Arch filly from Matlacha Pass--well, I do, she's obviously a top broodmare and why not breed her to Bernardini, but it would nice to have a full to Pine Island.
