Shocking.

Graydar and Cross Traffic will make such fine additions to anyone's stable of stallions.

asudevil 11-07-2013 01:19 PM

Mandy Pope wants 'em...

Which one will be bred to Dreaming of Julia?

Danzig 11-07-2013 01:45 PM

saw that earlier. and point of entry of course is also retired. i'd forgotten they'd already forged a deal for him.

randallscott35 11-07-2013 04:15 PM

But see these were all sound horses who got hurt...not unsound horses. Get it right and breed away.

Not unless they suddenly sprouted uteri. Maybe that's what happened to Orb.

Press Release: Speightstown's Fast Bullet to Pauls Mill

Grade 2 True North Handicap Winner Fast Bullet has been retired from racing and will take up stud duty at Pauls Mill for a fee of $7,500 live foal, stands and nurses

"Fast Bullet is cast in the mold of his sire Speightstown who went from Champion Sprinter to Leading Sire,” said Ben Walden, owner of Pauls Mill. “Fast Bullet was as brilliant and talented as they come, and is as nice a horse physically as I've ever seen. His sheer speed was similar to that of Red Ransom."

The liquid fast son of Speightstown broke his maiden at first asking. Sent off the less than even money favorite, he served notice of his brilliance, drawing off by 6 /14 lengths at Santa Anita through fractions of :21 4/5, :44 4/5 and :56 4/5 with a final time of 1:08 2/5, posting a 92 Beyer Speed Figure.
Fast Bullet went on to earn TDN Rising Star status in his next start, winning by 3 3/4 lengths at Hollywood Park and earning a 102 Beyer. In his next start at Hollywood, Fast Bullet once again devastated his opponents, winning by 7 1/4 lengths and earning a 109 Beyer.

Like his sire Speightstown, who currently ranks #2 on the General Sire List with over $10,000,000 in earnings and 21 Stakes Winners, Fast Bullet won the Grade 2 True North Handicap at Belmont as an older horse. His final time of 1:08 1/5 was within 1/5th of a second of his sire’s final time in the race. Sent off the favorite in the True North, Fast Bullet earned a 110 Beyer Speed Figure, the fourth highest Sprint Beyer of the year, while defeating Grade 1-winning Millionaire Justin Phillip and Multiple Graded Stakes-winning Millionaire Caixa Eletronica.

Raced by Zayat Stables and trained by Bob Baffert, Fast Bullet boasts an average winning margin of nearly 5 lengths and was sent off the favorite in all of his victories, posting three triple digit beyer speed figures.

"God doesn't make horses this fast very often," said Hall of Famer Bob Baffert. "He had world class speed."

Fast Bullet is currently being syndicated.

Why?

Cannon Shell 11-07-2013 09:04 PM

How fast is "liquid fast"?

Is it like ludicrous speed?

My favorite horse since Commentator.
Why train him back to the BC now retire him? Turf router in the breeding shed? Come on now. I have to guess he is sound because he ran well in the BC off the bench. Why not a campaign of the Gulfstream race he beat Animal Kingdom in then the Derby Day race, Manhattan, Arlington Million?? Why is he being rushed to the shed?

and they put him back in training to try to win the bc turf, because it would be a nice race to win.

Adena Springs bought into him to be a stallion. He is turning 6. Adena did a pretty good job with a turf router named El Prado.
