BTW, there are plenty of horses grazing public land in this country, cattle & sheep, too. Look at a map of BLM-owned land sometime, you'd be shocked how much the government owns. Pretty amazing, what the government does for certain private citizens.

i know about blm owned land, and i believe ranchers pay for the right to graze there. far cry from the lush, private pastures of ky tho.
alaska isn't seizing the profit-the gas companies pay to get all that out of there, just like there are mineral rights paid to get stuff out from under ground here in arkansas and elsewhere.
