It's interesting how different the two races were run. There was a reasonable pace in the Secretariat and SU came home in :24 2/5. There was a crawling pace in the Million and The Tin Man came home in :22 3/5.
Yeah I agree. People forget in long grass races that once three quarters has been run in a very slow time that its almost impossible for anyone to earn a huge fig because there is no way to come home fast enough to earn one.
