I could breed my tibetian terrier to Goulash or Hansili and and I would still get a stakes winner

I certainly like Rachel Alexandra a lot more of the two horses ... but I don't think she'll have a prayer on the Pro-Ride with Asmussen training her ... I'm playing her to finish off the board in that race.

I hope she dominates up to that point.
So a trainer trains differently for poly? Outright silly....

The Distaff is now signed, sealed, and delivered to Zenyatta.
I thought you were getting at the fact that Rachel will be in the Classic...

I hope she wins the preakness, belmont, test, travers, JCGC, the Carter and I hope Assman skips any breeders cup race because its on synthetics... sporting move last year to run curlin, but take THAT breeders cup and your stupid decision to run the championship races all on turf.

I also hope Quality Road, Dunkirk, IWR (if hes back), Fresian Fire.. and all the other top dirt horses skip the race and say shove it.

Lets have the championships settled at JCGC day at belmont...

Although - most people did believe that Stardom Bound was the most likely Oaks winner at the time - and even several weeks later - Justwhistledixie closed as the pool 3 favorite over Rachel Alexandra... but whatever.
No one thought SB was going to win the Oaks once she ran her first race this year, unless "most" means racing people with a clue using your nomenclature.

She closed at 22/1 to win the Kentucky Derby after her first race back.

The money in those futures is smarter than the money on Derby day?

So you're saying that handicapping a race to fall apart is luck? No offense to the "intelligent" people that lost that day, but anyone of those horses like Bellamy Road, and High Fly who raced near the lead had NO shot that day. I guess that it was luck that told me with High Limit, Flower Alley, Going Wild and Spanish Chestnut you were going to have a freak pace scenario. I've lost a helluva lot more times in this game than I've won, but I'll never apologize for that pick. It's amazing I've had to defend it for four years.

Call him filthy, call him a pig, call him a slow beast; but you must call him a Derby winner.

Default More questions concerning Zenyatta

I had the impression that Zenyatta was scratched out of the race last week following the announcement that the Breeders' Cup was staying at Santa Anita. The trip to race at Churchill looked like a scouting trip, didn't it?

Does it bother anyone else that she hasn't started yet this year?

Braving the certain derision to follow, does anybody think the other older, Grade I-winning filly in the Shirreffs barn might be the filly who pulls the upset in the Distaff come the fall?

Just wondering,

SOTN
