Ricky Barnes has played well all year
He has made a lot of cuts and played well in the open last year at bethpage I like the way he has played the last 2 weeks He is a california boy and has played Pebble in numerous other events besides the pro-am each year Local knowledge does not hurt He is listed at 100/1 and is not impossible |

I can't see him winning - he can certainly hit the board.

I figured like most that Dustin Johnson would play well at Pebble again, especially with his absurd length, but a top 10 would be his ceiling given how penal missed shots are relative to the AT&T Pro-Am setup. Instead he's dialing it back at the right times and attacking when he can. He drove the 4th green (284 yards) with a focking 3 iron today. That is sick

I don't think he'll give it up tomorrow. I guess it wouldn't be anything unusual for him to shoot 74 due to pressure, and get beat by Tiger. It'd be a lot more interesting. I don't think he'll fold, but we'll see. Guy likes what he likes:
Pebble Beach: 2009 won....2010 won ...Probably will easily win the 2010 U.S. OPEN at Pebble Byron Nelson Event: 2009 T4........2010 T7 Norther Trust Open: 2009 T10....2010 T3 |

Johnson really looked sharp yesterday. But if Tiger doesn't have a bounce round like Phil did yesterday, he'll be right in it at the end.

I thought it was because the greens were cut so short and Tiger crapping on them.

They grow at different speeds, and by late in the afternoon make for a bumpy green. My Dad played Spyglass (the course next to Pebble & they have the same type of greens). Said Spyglass easily has the worst greens he's ever played on for a "big time" course.
