![]() of these 2 colts - Irish War Story, or McCraken,
which do you think has a better Derby running style. ![]() Irish War Cry The undefeated son of Curlin beat the current Kentucky Derby point-leader, Classic Empire, at a distance of 1 1/16 miles with an gate-to-wire effort. Grahm Motion trainee Irish War Cry, who also trained Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom McCracken the winner of the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) in record time, the son of Ghostzapper, has brought his record to four for four and is tied with El Areeb and Gormley with 20 points each toward the Road to the Kentucky Derby. Classic Empire has 32 points , the point leader...while IWC has only 10. Irish war cry winner wire to wire, has more of a derby Calvary running style..front running with speed...were as McCraken laid covered up for most of the Davis stakes..only to close in the stretch. Is the cover and pounce method, the better running style for the field of 20 in Louisville..in 75 days ? |
