Finally, the Occupy movement is forcing politicos to address the concerns of the citizens of Occupy, trying to take our government back from corporate ownership:

The OCCUPIED Amendment will end corporate influence in our elections by:

* Overturning Citizens United and outright banning the ability of corporations to use their profits to influence our elections.

* Making clear that corporations, as well as entities formed to represent corporations — are not real, living people with rights protected by our Constitution. They are entities established under our laws and thus subject to our laws.

* Reasserting the authority of Congress and the States to crack down on anonymous third party groups flooding our elections with malicious attack ads and to limit campaign contributions and expenditures by individuals, candidates, and all types of private entities.

BTW, there is a huge Occupy Congress march on Washington DC this week ... any of the corporate media mentioning this to you in newscasts?

It was mentioned on both the coporate owned WGN and NBC this morning and in fact it's so HUGE in Wisconsin 150 people are going!

I love it and especially for government supported political groups like ACORN. Imagine receiving gov funds to influence gov. elections. Talk about a fixed system. The congressman should also add to the top of the amendment the outlawing of government sponsored entities or GSE anything for that matter. Neither party is completely to blame yet both are at fault. Flat tax for everyone! Guy making 10K pays a grand and a guy making a 100 million pays 10 millon. The gov needs to adjust to the new budget after the divorce and settlement from the people.

Take the money out of the Feds hands and the rats will go away. They don't seek attention just cheese.

Sorry Riot. I guess i missed the Union answer, Getting old , I guess. I just don't see how a Union ( a group of people ) should be treated any different, in this respect, than a Corperation (a group of people ). I would always err on the side of Free Speech, if I was wrong. But I'm not. Love Ya!
