![]() Sad to hear. He was a pretty unusual and remarkable man obviously, and most in racing came to appreciate his sizeable contributions to the industry. When things were at their worst in the sales ring over the last couple years, he jumped in and helped prop up the numbers, knowing it was unlikely he'd be able to enjoy the purchases for too long. No matter what you thought of his understanding of the sport and its' history, it's impossible to deny that the game is diminished by his passing.
