Default World's Greatest Thoroughbred Race?

Reading a British book which terms the Epsom Derby as the 'World's Greatest Flat Race'. With the Arc Sunday, it made me curious what people consider the greatest of the great flat races internationally? You can vote multiple times, so maybe tab your top 3.

It's kind of difficult for an average race fan living in the US to realize the history and magnitude of the races in another country. I voted Ky Derby sinply on tradition and the fact that every American trainer's / owner's / jockey's dream is to win it

Same reason I would vote for it.

The Arc has my vote.

Top pick - Arc = top race across the waters. You point to it if your horse is good enough.

2nd place - KY Derby = restricted to 3yr olds only and more luck than being the best needed to win. If they changed the rules and shorten the field down to 1 starting gate instead of the added gate, then you wouldn't have horses that don't belong. Still would have 14 horses I believe racing.

My opinion only..
