Default How are you betting the Haskell?

I'm kind of liking Afleet Again.

Haskin is leaning towards Uptown Charliebrown I think:

Anybody else looking at Afleet Again?

All/dude/all...not really but I do think he runs big again while questioning his ability to win.

I don't see IB getting the pace and his performances have kind of sucked when he hasn't had a whole lot of pace in front of him. I will need to study The Fat Charts a little more before I come to a confident enough conclusion on the race, but IB isn't for me just yet.

I was feeling the same way after the Belmont. I might give him one more chance....if the price is right.

Will definately play some exactas with him in the 2 hole.

i'm anxious to see what trappe shot goes off at. lookin at lucky, super saver will draw a lot of bets, so he may offer a bit of value. i think afleet again would be on exotics if i use any.

otherwise, i'm also looking at uptown. he's had some close races, he's had some excuses. at the price he'll be, i think he's worth a bet.

Really? I think he is a longshot to finish in the top half here. I think they need to find a nice 7f G3 for him to run in and then hope they go :22 in front of him like they did in those Tampa races.
It should pay big though if you hit it, so best of luck.

$100 to win, $200 to place.

Lucky.

No angles on this one.

Just take a little change off the doubters.

Possible afleet back to back day wins (Express and Again). I'm playing Lucky in this one with Afleet and first dude under him. GL

That's my kind of action.

Except I don't like to spend major money on a ticket that has to lose if I win.

No way in hell would I put out two $100 win bets.

I do like your exacta angle. One thing I love about California wagering is that Quinellas are offered.

I play similar wagers to yours often, with only one horse to win, of course.

Then I'll play a solid and straight exacta on my top two, and a backup quinella on the other horse I like.

It's GREAT to cash both and all the tickets with no recycling necessary.

I haven't even handicapped this race yet.

I'm talkin' out of my arse.

Pretty sure I've got Lucky big in the Top Two though.

Warning, moderate red boarding alert...

Thank you to the Trappe Shot touters here. I really hadn't looked at him too closely having been in 37K races not too far back.

When I walked into the OTB to put my $100 win and $200 place on Lucky, the 4-5 odds 10 minutes to post significantly dampened my enthusiasm for the full bet. I was expecting 8-5 or better, and I expected the money in the place pool to be spread around more than it was.

Post post parade decision after seeing the horses I lessened my wager.

I kept the $100 win in play, then put $100 on a Lucky-Trappe Shot $50 exacta box. It was less than I intended originally to bet, was my reasoning. Lucky on the rail concerned me today, but with only 7 horses in the field I was pretty sure he'd get up for at least 2nd.

With the touting here, I had reviewed Trappe Shot more closely and thought he was much more ready than anything else in the field.

Best part was that The Haskell was the DRF free race of the day online, and the OTB had run out of programs so was giving out free copy machine versions. No program or form expense for the day.

Only race I played this weekend.

Makes up for the $120 I lost in my only play last weekend trying to beat Rachel.
