Default Kentucky Oaks on BravoTV

This is just the latest example of CD missing the boat and really not going forward in any way (except for maybe adding lights). How in the world can the Kentucky Oaks be shown on Bravo TV? Totally embarrassing. The most embarrassing point of the entire broadcast was when right before the Oaks this guy named "Andy" asked Donna Barton, "how do the jockeys decide what outfit they are going to wear?". Are you kidding me?

Do you know if CD had much of a choice? Perhaps it was bravo or no telecast?

I do not have any inside information on what their choices were but if none of the ESPN channels or major channels would take the race then just let it be shown on HRTV or TVG. The BravoTV was totally embarrassing to the sport.

I see two sides of the Bravo coverage.

On the one hand, it's an absolute joke to people who are familiar with horse racing. On the other hand, I bet some people who rarely watch horse racing may have watched it -- and with the Bravo-twist that they put on it, maybe those new viewers enjoyed the coverage. Personally, I can't say.

Should amateur fans be asked to complete a horse racing test before they enter the track? LOTS of regular fans might fail those too...
