weight will not be an issue with ryan howard. who knows what he will be like at 36.. but I will bet a million bucks he wont be fat. He's extremely dedicated and realized after they won the WS that he wouldnt have a long career if he stayed big.. and he's got himself into great shape, really worked at his defense. He'll stay in great shape and keep working hard even 5 years down the road because that is the type of man he is. "Just get me to the plate, boys"

![]() Ain't anymore. It's only because I had him in Fantasy League Baseball. Believe me, that was a mistake to start that semi-addictive crap. It distorts one's view of a player's overall ability to help a team win a ring. From the standpoint of helping a team win a ring (should be primary,) I still regard him highly. Not anywhere near 125mil, though. I now understand why certain players (i.e. the "great" Craig Biggio) are so overrated/underrated on here. He should be fine (now that I traded him.) I've never seen him so damn crappy, but he's never had the weight of a Dodger Fan dragging him down. God Bless him. Mr. Stealth-Bomber Nose is now free to start owning pitchers again.

My guess is he'll have you Dodger fans wide eyed, again, when it matters most.

![]() Doesn't appear the Dodgers have any intention of going to the post this year. They've made no effort to improve their pitching weaknesses. Fernando Rodney signed with the Halos for 2 years 11 mil. I think the Halos are run by adults. Don't you think he would of helped the Dodgers a little in the post. Like in game 1 of the LCS last year?

![]() Have you seen Troncoso this year? He's not got it. Belisario may be rounding into some form, but he won't be lights out. They only use Kuo in spots, because his control isn't good enough. Fernando Rodney is lights out in the 8th inning right now for the Angels. He's not mediocre. If the lefty closer gets hurt, or struggles, he'll easily close games. I know the Dodgers weaknesses. They are a very lazy team, and the b.p. is not good at protecting leads on the road (at all.) O.K., now you say the cheating wife is keeping them from spending. Didn't they squander the lead in game 4 of the LCS in '08? No effort then to get a quality set-up guy. They lucked into Troncoso n' Belisario pitching good for half the 09 season. They aren't gunna be able to do that again. Sherril fits the mediocre middle reliever label that you referred to. I looked at Rhodes stuff in Cincy last week. It's strong. I don't understand (in general) the stupidity shown by this organization towards middle to late relief. You need some talent to hold down teams that are playing at home. They tend to rely heavily on hope, and hope (alone) is an immature emotion. Poor bridges (to the closer) will destroy morale if it continues to be ignored. I don't see them making the post with these huge holes. They'll be about .333 on the road, because they won't be able to hold leads.
