Default Tracks you wager on

What are the top 3 reasons you wager on the tracks that you do?

* Small field size

* strong odds-on favorite

* two or more longshots who routinely get beat about 30 lengths at the level to throw out.

When it comes to NYRA - knowledge of the participants, quality races, lots of maiden races with well-bred horses

Gulfstream - lots of maiden races, best turf races during winter, knowledge of participants

Keeneland - public's inability to understand synthetic surface, quality fields, lots of maiden races with well-bred horses

I don't limit myslef to tracks as much as I do situtations. I don't care about Ramon Dominguez on a 3/5 shot or pick 3s/ 4s and exactas that pay $20 if you're lucky.

1. Field size (at least 8 runners)
2. Competitive fields (as opposed to boring "formful" chalk-a-thons)
3. knowledge of the trainers/jockeys and the bloodlines of the horses. I'm not up on New Mexico or New Jersey breds.

I also prefer turf racing

1. Whether or not I'm at the track - at the track I'll bet anything, when I'm not at the track I'll barely bet anything.

2/3. Multi Race Wagers with quality, established fields - I love the all stakes P4s. I absolutely despise multi race sequences with maidens or cheap claimers in them that have tons of horses with no form over the surface or at the distance. I hate having to include horses just because I don't know how bad they are. Give me an All Stakes Pick 4 with a couple deep fields and I'll watch it on TV and throw a couple hundred at the P4 and the individual races.

1)Time Zone combined with time, motive and opportunity to bet.

2)Knowledge of the riders, trainers, horses and track

2)Seeing a horse going that I've somehow noted before....I never play Louisiana, but when I saw General Quarters going last Saturday I bought a form and wagered on the race.

1) Knowledge of trainer/jockey combos

2) How many middle-priced horses come in? All Chalk n' Bombs be Scuds' Viet Nam.

3) Consistent track surface
