Default So is it still Jack?

to the ones who still contend Jack is the all time best to ever step onto green grass. Are you naysayers ready to to concede Tiger is god with a golf club

nope.

Jack - 18 major wins, 19 seconds
Tiger - 14 wins...... and a long way to go to catch that.

tiger is a god with the club and probably nobody was ever as talented, but alltime honors still belong to jack. will tiger overtake him eventually? probably if things continue. but until then its still jack if you ask me.

First off, Tiger and Jack are both Gods.

2ndly..

Jack has 20 Majors and Tiger has 17 (I Dont care what anyone says about those numbers!)......... TIGER IS only 32 ****ING YEARS OLD!

But I also dont care how many more majors tiger wins than Jack eventually, Jack is still a God (and you can make the case that Jack faced tougher competition.. well at least mentally tougher)!

This debate is very tough. You have two players that played in very different eras against very different competition. Jack competed against higher quality players closer to him, whereas Tiger plays against much deeper fields, but there are very few high quality players close to him.

Very different golf ball, equipment, course set ups, etc...

Jack certianly owns the records for right now, but it seems a matter of time before Tiger breaks those records.

Save Ben Hogan, I doubt there is anyone in the history of the game that is able to the things with the golf ball that Tiger does.

That shot out of the bunker was pretty serious.

One of my favorite shots is taking my 5w and hacking the **** out of sand, always seem to hit it well.

Tigers record of never losing a major when leading after 54 holes is very impressive IMO, and does he ever miss a put when he HAS to make it. Jack was a great putter too, but man. Putting is the one part of the game where technology hasn't made much of a difference.

It was a real treat to watch for these last 5 days. One for the ages.

kev don't forgot snead or nelson

nelson reitred well early in his career and think about how many more majors snead would have won if ben hogan had not recoverd from the car accident

as for a golf swing , none was ever more fluid and picturesque than the slammer , but the others all could get the ball in the hole better than the man from hot springs
