Not to belittle Brass Hat's amazing comeback run, but they also set a new track record for 6 furlongs later on the card, so the track was obviously verry verry fast yesterday.

I read somewhere on drf.com on the blog section that Brass Hat only had a 98 beyer.

I think the fact that there is a thread about Perfect Drift that hasn't turned into to a huge fight, indicates more than anything else that it is probably time for them to retire him.

This is a perfect example of a classified allowance race that's tougher than many graded stakes. For instance, this field TOWERED over the Grade 1 Prioress.
