Frankel's bred to regress on dirt, both top and bottom of his pedigree.
His connections don't want him attempting 12 furlongs on grass either. He's too big for the Breeders Cup Mile. Pittsburg Phil was the most successful horse bettor in American history. After he died, they named a colt George Smith (his real name) -- Pittsburgh Phil had imported the dam of that colt from Britian. George Smith (the horse) won 17 of 31 lifetime starts including the 1916 Kentucky Derby. Dogwood Stables bought a yearling for $250,000 and named it Arcaro. He broke his maiden for an 8K tag at Laurel in his 15th career start. |

No, I don't think it would be fitting. It's getting a bit redundant to see him facing tomato cans over there at 8f but they are still better than what he'd face here. If he were to be campaigned here and run in several locations where many fans would get a chance to see him, that would be different. But for just a race or two, I don't think so. Most of us would be just watching on tv if he came over so what's the difference watching him on tv from England?

Handicaps would help.
Like you mention, today was a Group 1 race where he faced three other horses and one of the three was his hapless rabbit in to set the pace for him -- and the other was 5th and 20th in his only two prior starts in Graded Stakes. If this was the 1930's -- he'd have given those two horses 60lbs each. But, it was weight-for-age, so he gave them nothing. |

(You might wanna spell his name right, by the way). Quote:
While I'm very happy not to have seen Excelebration in that race I do hope to hell that he's the one to beat Frankel when the times comes. |
