Was it revised upward from a 95 to a 97? I'm seeing both numbers for the winner.

Yes. Perhaps he will upgrade it to a 100 so that we will have a prep with a triple digit beyer.

Just shows the difference between Beyer and Roman...Beyer has 97/98 making the two winners pretty much equal...you can determine for yourself which is a better indicator of the two races.

" Closed minded " is short for, in this case, people that recognize BS when they see it.

Just curious, why are Beyers only useful for those specific types of races?

They aren't...I just prefer PF's for major stake races because they are available. Dr Roman isn't in the business of providing PF's for all horses/races...he focuses on the major stake races while Andy and his group cover all of racing. If PF's were available for the 4th at Penn National, I'd probably use them. I'm not putting BSF's down, they have revolutionized handicapping and are excellent (as Dr Roman readily admits). I simply have better luck with PF's in the Derby and a few other grade 1's. Folks who call them BS have probably never used them...easier to be critical than do the work.
