Great Piece: Equine Athlete Psychology
It'll be intersting to re-read this article after the race...let's see how good this "horse shrink" is.....this is VERY intersting reading

He's looking at a past performance and tape -- and his conclusions are basically opinions based on observations and the way he writes them out makes him look like a BS artist.
Horse racing video games have been addressing this subject for a great many years now... They look like this: (lower half of screen)

Very interesting. He seems a good and accurate detail observer of horse behavior. His comments match what some of the trainers have said.
