Default Sucker horses of 2011

You can add Coil and Twirling Candy to the growing list of them

Mucho Macho Man
Master of Hounds
Nehro

and pretty much 3 yr old who showed any ability to wow us so far

with that said id like to see Twirling Candy give it one more go at 10, maybe a training tweak here or there plus a change in tactics. I still love the horsey and dont want to give up on it.

Same goes for coil, but that was a tragically slow last quarter and still couldnt hold off that Drysdale horse. Plus all of Baffert's horses in Calder all failed to win over the weekend.

With a 2011 record of 3-2-1-0 (the loss being a short head defeat), Coil can hardly be called a sucker horse. Perhaps overrated after yesterday, but he certainly hasn't burned a bunch of money.

The list should have (but not limited to):

Setsuko
Captain Cherokee
Sidney's Candy
Drosselmeyer
The Usual QT
Jeranimo
Cozie Rosie
Haimish Hy
Supreme Summit
Harmonious
St. Trinians
Turning Top
Bind
Astrology
Haynesfield

If TC couldn't get 10f yesterday, no way he'll get it at Del Mar.

Blame's sister, as far as I know, has won 2 of 3 races. Not sure if she's raced since her impressive allowance score on Kentucky Derby weekend.

You might be thinking of Bind.

I think she was up the track in a stake about a month after that at Churchill.

That sucks (looked it up--5th at 4-5 in the Edgewood). Her allowance was like 15 Beyer points higher than the Bob Hess filly that won the La Troienne at the same distance 2 or 3 races later on the card. Hasn't worked since the loss.

By the way, I'm predicting Plum Pretty will be part of that sucker horse list by year's end.

I don't think you can call an Oaks winner a sucker horse... Doesn't the label imply they never win but always take money?

Mucho Macho Man

Nehro? He's not the sucker, I'm the sucker. Had I used him in the Derby I would have hit the Super..

Chamberlain Bridge WAS a horse to bet against @ low odds earlier in the year.

I don't think anyone was fooled. If he shows up in the Haskell, I think he'll be a square price.

Gio Ponti has got to be the most notorious grade 1 money burner since he won the Arlington Million in 2009.

Dialed In should be added to the list.

my first thought...this horse has been a short price all year and simply can't take it to the wire
