![]() Saturday was a great day of steeplechase action. Rawnaq was much the best holding the fast closing Scorpiancer safe by ¾ of a length.
The drunks tailgating in the infield put a damper on what could have been a perfect day. Had 3 winners on top (races 2, 4, 7) 2 winners as a second selection (races 1, 6) and 2 tris if boxing the top 3 selections in races 6,7. Wish everyday was a Far Hills steeplechase day!!! Next stop Great Meadow at The Plains Virginia on Saturday 10/22 which features parimutuel wagering. However, the pools are so small (average $800 in an exacta or tri pool per race) that a $2 bet skews the payout. Have to play for only $1 and hope to take the pool. Good Luck with your wagers!!!
