![]() Has anybody out there heard much about this handicapper and his figures. He makes a final speed figure combining early pace figs and final time to come up with a beyer like figure, and graphs it out like some of the other speed sheets. Personally , I haven't had much success with that type of thing, as early fractional times are based on too many unknown factors, such as jockey intent, track variant, wind, runup, distance, etc.. Final figs at least give you a few straws to grasp at. Any way , apparently James Quinn has said good things about Fotias. Let me know if you've used his figs and what you think.

![]() I've never used his figs, but he used to be a frequent guest on the handicapping show at Saratoga, and I always liked his take on the races, very sharp and knowledgable. BTW could possibly comment.

![]() I use his Xtras and like his material. If you try them, read his book. He is similar to Thorograph and Rags in that he looks for patterns, but he looks for pace patterns in conjunction with final figure patterns to make his selections. In a nutshell, it's the old "flashed early speed" idea to point to improving form. He does produce excellent pace figures IMO, certainly better than Bris (which I like) or Moss (who I also like).
