Default If you could get a free horse

Say a horse like Louisvilleluminary.. by Pulpit out of Copelan's Bid Gal. Full bro to Purge and Namaste's Wish. MSW winner.. Ran 3rd in this years Sanford. history of wobbler.

Is it even worth the cost of feed and board?

Can you do a wobbler surgery and race?

I dont think it has a chance in heck to be stallion unless he races more..

i don't think wobbler syndrome is hereditary and know some who have had show horses and jumpers operated on and returned to the ring. Not sure I want to be on a horse jumping who doesn't know where his feet are though.

the horse is salavaged through our company because of a wobbler claim i imagine (Loss of Use). So you can bid on it or whatever.

Some girls want to buy him and try to make him a stud horse. I told them they were crazy, even if he's full to purge and and graded stakes placed horse.. they are a dime a dozen and you basically cant make money with a horse like that at stud unless you are breeding your own mares and somehow this horse has phenominal sperm.

I was trying to GIVE away a horse with a million times better pedigree and had already had his prodgeny make over a million on the track. And nobody would take him! and that was a danzig out of a mr prospector with sky beauty, dajur and mapeljinski in the family!

As a stallion he is worth less than zero. Costs more than he can earn.

Next time you have a stallion prospect please call.

What is a 'wobbler' ? Is that a medical condition or a horse who has really bad action? I've never heard the term before.

It is a condition affecting the cervical vertebrae which causes gait instability ...

Exact cause is not clear--may be physical defects or can be inflenced by protozoa ..

Seattle Slew had wobbler like symptoms as an older stallion ...

A free horse with wobbles is not free ...

A great many wobblers are euthanized for obvious reasons of being unsafe under saddle or to themselves sadly ...

Shamardal, a son of Giant's Causeway was a wobbler. It is however very rare that a wobbler can have a productive existance. Slew has some degenerative issues in his neck that gave him wobbler type symptoms, before his late life surgery.
This colt is well bred and obviously could run some but it's not likely that he'd be a profitable stallion. In fact the fame caould be said if he were retiring today, healthy. The market is dreadful and very good and proven stallions can be had for a song.
