![]() I was looking at the PP's and was struck how it'd gotten to the point where just about any ride by JV on the turf is a bad one. Tell It As It Is, for example. Chart says, "5w, best stride late'. Trakus indicates the following ---
33 1 24 44 -3 So, Tell It As It Is ran 44 feet or 5 lengths more than the winner. Now, I haven't watched the race but I can almost guarantee that having this horse wide on the turns wasn't all that JV did. He almost certainly had her wide no cover on the backstretch as well, which is just a ****in brutal thing to do to a horse. Of course, JV justifies this by telling the trainers that the horse doesn't like to be inside. Not picking this horse, just indicating how bad it gets when JV rides your horse. |
