Enjoyed a complete day off from radio Tuesday as I ventured to Delaware Park for the first time in more than 20 years to watch Dee Tee Stables’ Rampillion smashingly break her maiden. It was a special experience with a wonderful set of partners and friends on hand, which is the best part of the racing experience. It marked the first of the three Stable victories I’ve personally witnessed, and will be treasured.
Congratulations and thanks go out to the Dee Tee ’03’ group that purchased Rampillion at the Keeneland Fall 2007 Yearling Sale ($12k), Chuck Simon and Linda Albert and their staffs, and Clinton Potts who rode Rampillion perfectly. Rampillion becomes Dee Tee’s second winner from our four starters, and our first maiden-breaking winner. The score pushes the Stable record to 25/3-7-2 (12%-W; 48%-ITM). More fun lies ahead for Dee Tee this summer as Aldebutante moves closer to her three year old debut, Kickin N Screamin appears on edge for her next start, and 2 year olds Harold Carmichael, Redboard King and Missus Mayflower all continue to develop…
