This isn’t actually ‘the world’s richest race’, but it is a novel concept and a fun early year diversion. Understand trying to beat Gun Runner at too short a price with handful of quality players in striking distance, but I find it hard to elevate one of the alternatives over him and I’d like to see him exit the stage a winner. Pace appears to be slightly faster than average and this is of course a racetrack where speed carries well. Expect Collected makes the lead after fiasco at Santa Anita, giving Sharp Azteca and Gun Runner opportunity to set up shop and stalk. West Coast and Stellar Wind should be in comfortable positions in the front half as well. Consistent, plucky War Story is the price I think you want somewhere underneath..
