Early preview of the Chuck Report... Indeed, a tired mare at race's end. Rosario had no choice except to go on early when she broke so sharply. He knew she was starting to tire approaching the three eighths but he hoped she'd have enough left to carry to the wire. She actually dug in when the winner confronted her and kept trying to the finish. She of course had no chance to answer the wide runner-up.

Even with the slow looking splits, she did all the heavy lifting here, burying the other two speeds in the race, who vied with her for favoritism. KNS isn't a horse you can tighten the screws on, so Chuck was hoping her back bottom would be enough to top this kind of group, and it nearly was.

On the plus side, she looked as good as she ever has physically, and her more robust posture hopefully will allow for a quicker than normal (for her) run back. More from Chuck when he returns from the Lexington area. Thanks to Cherie and the team for the work put in today, those that made the trip to Florence, and those that watched and rooted on the quirky but loveable mare...

She was unquestionably the best horse in the race as the other two who went did drop back and she was 3 wide, unfortunately, the top two finishers got the trip that she likes. On the pace does not seem to work well for her. I wish she could have stayed on for second as I used her heavily with the 6 who, IMO, was the horse to beat and at 14-1 the exacta would have been very nice.

Just watched the race on calracing.com, was hoping she held 2nd (always "backwheel" DT horses) but at least she was a factor and hopefully will return quickly.

Another fun day in Dee Tee land, even though not a win ... Cherie was pretty slick having the pony in the stall to settle/block her (she reared a little twice walking up the track to the paddock, a little handful). Made a beautiful move around the turn, and wanted to come back and get that 6 horse once passed, but next time.

Went back to the receiving barn with Wing while she cooled out (he got lots of good pictures), she was fine at that time.

The guys went back for an afternoon at the races, and Wing left for the 4-5 hour drive home, so hopefully he can get pics up tomorrow.

A fun day - hope Rampillion can get her race!

I just watched the race also. She looked like she wanted to win.

I thought K' n S' looked good physically in the paddock today. She looked happy to be back racing again as she was in the bit for the whole race as opposed to her last effort. A little leg weary in the stretch, but a good effort considering the first off the lay-off try. She looked fine walking back to the barn. She may not be the fastest in the stable, but she's done a nice job for Dee Tee filling in the gaps while we waited for the babies to mature and for SWLY to make her way back. Nice pick-up by Chuck. Also a great job by Cherie today.

She was a little short. My fault, not hers. Will probably try her back on April 2nd in the same condition at TP.
