To add, if that was Sweater Vest Man, that Corner would have played, no doubt about it...I respect the Texas Coach a great deal for suspending him...

First 3 games:
Georgia Tech (I dont care what they are ranked they are good)
Penn ST. (just cause ND blew them out does not mean they are bad)
Michigan

That is as tough 3 game schedule as you are going to find.

Purdue (this team can put up points)
UCLA (better than people think)
USC

North Carolina was scheduled ahead of time. This looks easy NOW.

Navy, Air Force and Army are always supposed to be push overs. But I think Air Force can give any team some trouble because they can score. Stanford is weak imo.

I am not the one telling everybody that a team is gunna contend for the National Title (if they just get past Michigan State.)I remember very well the bashing that you and Oracle have done the last 9 months. Some team loses once in like 2 years, and you guys bashed them for 9 months.Seems you(Texas)and Oracle(Notre Dame) have a long time before you can complain somebody is pickin' on you.

Good luck rooting against them this year.
If the Irish get by Mich St at Mich St in a few weeks, you can count on seeing them in the National championship game.
Here,PGRDN,before you go feeling sorry for Oracle, read his words again. He is talking trash here in this thread. So,don't come complain when it comes right back in his face.

I dont make fun of college freshman. We are adults, I think... and your picking on some poor kid that comes from a small town. Thats what I am talking about.
Oracle. You can make fun of him any time. He dishes it out, he better be able to take it. His total allegiance to ND would get him in big trouble if he ever bet college football. I cannot bet Texas games and try to avoid giving picks to my brother.

What do you mean picking on? I said he comes from that town of about 600 people(2 colas,)and that I would bet money that he likes to fish n' hunt.I think the point I was making is that the coaching staff started a guy with almost no college ball experience against the #1 team in the nation. They could of let him play some last year, but oh no..they didn't want to give up a year of eligibility with him.

The first thing that all colleges should look for when recruiting an athlete is their first name. Noted.

Have you ever really been a fan of a team? Its fun. You suffer and then a pleasant suprise occurs everyonce and a while. I just happen to be fond of people that stick with teams even AFTER they lose. Where did you go to college? What about that team?

San Antonio Spurs NBA champs 2007. Even though we have picked up absolutely no one of consequence to help us overcome the Mavs. The eternal hope is part of the fun. You should try it some time. Playa and his White Sox. Way back when they were awful he was on every game. Respect from me. The guy across the street who lived thru the Cleveland Browns fumbling away a probable Super Bowl against Denver. And still watches every game and is planning for the Browns return to dominance. Respect. The guy from So Cal gives people crap about their team but really does not have the guts to actually root fully for one on his own... expect him to run when things get tough.
Who is it really? The Dodgers the Angels, or whoever is doing the best. Give the board YOUR team. Wagering aside, one team.

Okay, so basically, you agree that the schedule isnt so tough. Granted, its not cupcake city but that is far from the toughest schedule in the country.

I bolded the one part because i found one 4 game schedule that dwarfs what Notre Dame has to face in Michigan, MSU and GT in successive weeks. Look at what florida has to do coming up:

Alabama
LSU
At Auburn
Georgia

Notre Dame's deal isnt even close.

Thats the way it looks now. Any SEC conf. schedule looks tough. ND is an INDEPENDENT. They dont have to play a tough schedule, yet they do. Respect from me. They could make it to the National Championship much more often than they have if they scheduled starting weak and building to peak at the end of the year. That really is the point. Their schedule is still tougher than almost any team outside of the Big 10 and SEC, which look to be very tough conferences. Time will tell. And I am no fan of Notre Dame. I just respect the academics and the history. Same with Penn ST. I am not a fan. Respect.

Flush Miami and FSU down the toilet. These types of teams ruin college football for me. You can throw in some others if you wish.

I do? I have forgotten. Who is your team?

You cant take the criticism. You might hide for a month after your team loses. Unable to back a team out of fear of having to defend. Strange, but maybe the California way.

And I really dont care that you dont care. Just curious.

Notre Dame is a slave to the TV deal it signed years ago. They can never go too cupcake. Their only hope is that the service academies come up weak. I,too, respect Notre Dame and i know that they arent nearly as bad as they looked the other day. 9-2 is not a bad year at all considering where they should be with the rebuilding.

As far as conferences go, the SEC is the toughest.
