Are you going to the BC mate? I'll be there this year and given that we miss each other everywhere else in the world, the BC makes good sense.

I'm hoping to do the BC/Melbourne cup double, but finding flights which leave LAX on Sunday night to get back in Melbourne in plenty of time Tuesday morning is looking tricky.

I looked into it - leaving LAX at 23.30 the Saturday night of the Breeders Cup - that should give me more than enough time even allowing for LA traffic and I get into Melbourne on Monday morning after a 16 hour flight.

A good day relaxing and sleeping on the Monday and ill be ready to go for the Tuesday!!

I thought about leaving Saturday night, but I may not get there until Friday morning, so a 15hr flight arriving Friday morning followed by another 15hr flight departing Saturday night might just ruin me. Having said that, I did MEL-LHR-MEL in the space of three days for the July cup!

Think I'll stick to my plan of leaving Sunday night and then seeing how I feel after landing in Melbourne Tuesday morning.

Anyone else mad enough to be doing this?

I'll catch up with you at SA mate, where are you staying?
