Most of the profits came on 4 or 5 weekends with a lot of small to medium losses in between.
That weekend rocked!

That was probably my best wagering weekend with both Brushed Prince at 71-1, and Miner's Lamp at like 20-1, getting up for second and the Kong horse owned by Paranack winning at like 18-1.

Hopefully this year I can learn how to better structure my bets though.

BTW: My numbers are pretty accurate, but after some calculations I will move the amount bet for 2006, to $2000. Although the naysayers will line up, ALL my pick 4 bets, with analysis are posted somewhere.

The gray area in the amount bet arises when I have blown the first leg and really like a nice priced horse in a later leg. I went as far back as I could at www.nola.com/forums/startinggate and post # 6974 is a good example.

My pick 4 was blown in leg one, but I loved a horse in a later leg who romped at some $47, with a big triple to boot. That particular page included several other scores. Good cappin. BBB

Yeah, that Woodward saved the meet for me. Without that exacta I'd have been down on the meet. With it I was within like $10 of even at the track and up $60 on the internet for the meet which I was more than happy with. The rest of the year I'd guess I was down $200 - $300 although if you go back to the Malibu last year that would put me back to even. I probably bet in the vicinity of $3,000 - $4,000 on the year and at worst lost $300 which I can live with.
