So even running her in a stakes race at Saratoga would be an option if Chuck thought we could do so without her coming out any worse for the wear. For a lot of us just having a horse run at Saratoga would be incredible.

no joke!! it's so funny, i'll say hey, she might run at saratoga and people look at me like they have no idea how big a deal it is!!!! probably because they don't have any idea.... i mean, some even say 'where's that?'. crazy stuff!

i called chuck a few minutes ago, she cooled out fine. i said i was looking for the wire, and he replied it never shows up quick enough. i told him i thought she looked great, and he said yeah, she did.

he said everyone had a ball, but of course everyone was disappointed. i told him next time we'll get them, and he agreed.

she came out ok, that's the important part. and she's paying her way, again an important part. we live to fight another day!!

way to go sumwon, you looked great!

How about the Glass Slipper at Ellis, part of the Claiming Crown, with a 75,000 purse?

I don't have a problem with Willy's ride and I am impressed that she was able to take off the lead and still make another run in the stretch. It's too bad that the Pletcher horse went as early as she did, to me that clearly forced Willy to go early, if the 8 doesn't move to the end of the turn she wins, she may even have held on if she changed her leads on time. Hopefully that will be corrected.

Plus, she probably needed a race in her. Congrats fellow DTers, we have a very nice filly that will probably run even better next time out with this race in her. Plus, she is clearly capable of running on two surfaces. I, for one, think she ran a hell of race again today and proved one more time that she is a game filly. The wins will come.
bounce, I dont believe in that vodoo garbage, though after running three consecutive increasing figures its unlikely to run a forth, just using stats not this thorograph crapola. I dont think she increased her beyer today, well see.

look, she ran great, outran her odds for sure

That is a terrific idea given the normal track bias at Ellis. Inside speed always holds well there and if Sumwonlovesyou has shown anything, she has some early speed.

Congrats to all owners. I only wish I had been a part of the site earlier. I hope you guys are having a great time- you deserve it.

Much like on turf, speed figures tend to run lower on the Beyer scale on polytrack (and cushion) than they do on dirt.

It was just an idea, and probably realistic. The biggest problem is that it is at 6f. There is no route for females only on dirt.

Horses? Of course not. Females in the race I mentioned, sure she would. The race usually comes up light.

You yourself said she shouldn't have been less than 6/1, so shouldn't you be impressed that the horse you thought had a maximum 14% chance of winning ran second by a neck?

Of course not, because it's pretty clear that you have some weird vendetta against the stable. My hunch is that had she won you would've been railing about how she got a clear lead or how she was "supposed to win" or some bullshit like that.

She'd have to supplement to the Claiming Crown, so that is probably not an option.

I didnt mean horses in the literal sense. Fillies, I dont think she could beat those harder knocking fillies. She needs to get through a 1x before you beat horses who have won 20 races

CM, I think that race usually comes up a lot lighter because its in MINN. I think it will be real deep this year being at Ellis.

10 pnt, I respect your opinion and believe you have every right to state it. However, all I am saying is that those of us that are part of this partnership have every right to be excited about this horse. She has improved leaps and bounds since getting into Chuck's hands and there is still room for more improvement. I doubt she increased her Beyer today, but given that she lost training a few weeks ago, was coming off a layoff, and considering the trip she got, she ran a terrific race.

As far as the sarcasm of outrunning her odds, she had no business opening up at 2-5. Regardless, I believe that there is better ahead for her and if she can learn to relax more and change her leads correctly, there is certainly much better in her future.

i have to say earlier i almost looked for a picture of vultures circling to put on here--because i really do think a few (very few hopefully) wait for things like this so they can come on and attack, and i guess lord it over us poor hopeful sods (don't we know we're in over our heads?!) who haven't a clue what to do with/about this horse. and for crying out loud, money was bet on her? the shame of it all.

it's funny tho really. we went into this deal with eyes wide open, with a small bankroll and really just some hope to have a bit of fun. certainly no one expected to have a horse of this calibre. those who knock her can say hey, she keeps coming in second. but she's doing something that only a small percentage of racehorses manage--running and winning money in a race that isn't a claiming race. i mean, did anyone who bought into this expect to have her show up at churchill, arlington, and probably ship into the spa? my guess would be NO. but some enjoy pointing out the bad, rather than look for the good. that's their loss.

by no means am i singling out anyone in this thread or elsewhere today. past experience after sumwons races has been far worse, and temperature raising, than anything i've seen lately.

of course, the day isn't over yet.

Now it is 20 races? Come on.

It was just a suggestion, and is pretty logical actually. This horse will be a killer if you can find a starter allowance series somewhere.
