Yeah. Jerry said he's looking at the Los Alamitos Derby formally known as the Swaps Stakes.

First route race in 7 months. Smart move i think. Hollendorfer is not Rontos Stable. Like you said, baby steps.

It's a grade II with a $500,000 purse. That's not good enough? This will be his first race on real dirt. And as Outofthebox said, he just had the one 6 furlong sprint and now he's stretching all the way out to 1 1/8 miles. That's not easy to do. By the way, he's never run this far before.

He will be running in the biggest races soon enough. Hollendorfer has never been afraid to ship back east. I don't know if the horse will make the Haskell. It is 22 days after the Los Al race. That is borderline. There aren't any big races at Del Mar for 3 year olds on the main track. The big races are on the grass. I would assume the Travers is a possibility. If the horse has no problem handling the 1 1/8 miles at Los Al, they may feel he's ready to stretch out to 1 1/4 miles in the Travers.

Are you serious. I hope your not referring to the Belmont Stakes Saturday? A 1 1/2 mile off a six furlong race..nice...Im sure if he was stabled on the east coast there was a good chance he would have made his 3yo debut in the Woody Stephens. But the Dorf was lucky enough to get a race put up for him and now he is on his way. I hope like all of us that he can dirt and compete in the Travers this summer...
