The only clowns are ones that think there is a difference between the 2 parties and waste time fighting to the death defending either. Those are the clowns. Zig gets it.

No doubt. We need a 3rd party. Our system is not setup for one to be successful. So pick your poison.

Randall..I gave the because there is as much thought process behind that as was your casual "utter failure"..or whatever you wrote. Obviously we are polar opposites on policy, but I give BO the most credit for at least TRYING on immigration reform, trying on health care, trying on a REASONABLE Gun policy etc..Obviously the ACA is deeply mired with problems but the root of it is based on very sound principal I strongly believe. There is no way something this far reaching and of this magnitude was going to be launched error free. And again..I totally accept that this is WAY beyond error free, but the status quo sucks and if we don't try to improve as a country, what is our mission in the first place?

Please help me see where we have improved as a country.Record income inequality. 50 million on food stamps...And the Fed is buying 70% of our debt each month, that's only reason we don't collapse back to '08. That's sustainable to you?

there was no way for anything to be moved along once the republicans gained the majority in the house. they'd made no secret at all what their agenda was. it wasn't jobs, immigration, gun reform, any of that. just stonewall anything obama wanted done-whether it was good or bad.

it's a shame, but not surprising, that the aca is having these problems. they had all this time to get it done, and it's embarrassing that the exchange and website are so...bad.
but, i find it somewhat funny that people are up in arms about their current plans being ditched. hello. it's all been out there for years, it's not like it suddenly snuck out of the bushes.

i just don't understand it.

i guess people don't think. whatever obama, or bush, or whomever does, it's wrong because they do it.
would it be a good executive order? maybe. but it's bad, because he issued it? kill the messenger, even if it's a good message?

christ, where's john quincy adams when you need him? we could use more people like him in d.c. he pissed off various groups on a regular basis, depending on the subject. now, that's my kinda guy. he wasn't a party guy. he might be with you today, and against you two days ago...but that's because two days ago you had an idea on something that sucked. but today, your idea on another subject was spot on.
he was beholden to no one, nothing. he got voted out early on, and then voted in after his one term as president, and spent his last moments on earth in the House. his last word ever was a resounding 'no!', regarding texas.
