Here's one no one has mentioned. Sandown Park over on Vancouver Island near Victoria. Used to run a fall meet for the runners and harness in the summer. Two hour ferry ride gave you lots of time to handicap,relax and enjoy the scenery. Did make for a long trip home after a losing day.
