Just read the cemetary where he killed himself was the same one his two grandkids (killed in a auto accident) were buried.
Leaves behind a wife of 53 years and 3 adult children. Supposedly also had some chronic medical problem with extreme pain in his chest.There are videos out there on Youtube of him firing up a cigarette and smoking thru a hole drilled into his helmet while racing NASCAR. Ended his life the way he lived it, anyway he wanted. RIP |

there are a million stories about this guy, a legend on the short tracks, a great character. The cigerette lighter in the car was his trademark. RIP
