At the risk of sounding like Joey....I understand how disgusting spitting is, but I was taught to never hit a woman. That woman provoked it, but he could have just as easily pulled the bus over and called the cops.

I respect your guys opinion, but he didn't HAVE to hit her. He chose to and if he loses his job I have no problem with it.

He's going to be punished for his behavior and she isn't.

More than likely she will get a nice financial settlement.

i understand where you're coming from; i also raised my boys never to raise a hand at a lady-their voice either for that matter.
thing is, ladies aren't necessarily being raised to behave well these days.
but i agree, he should have kept quiet, pulled over, and put her off-or pulled over and call the cops. then he wouldn't be in the position he's in now, and he still would have 'won' the battle.

I agree that he did not have to hit her and shouldn't have. I have probably seen someone spit on someone between sporting events and bartending in a college bar when I was a student about 5 times. I have never seen it end without a fight.
