#171 was an RNA.
How many of these high priced RNAs are gonna turn up at Keeneland September? Is it too late to squeak in? There were also some nice late outs that saw the writing on the wall price-wise. That $900,000 Dynaformer filly was gorgeous. Unless I missed something, the salestopper was Hip #117, the filly Wait No More by Medaglia D'Oro out of Wait A While for $1.575 mil. Pletcher got her for somebody. Not really a shock that he wanted her given her mama. Barbara Banke got the Empire Maker-Sluice colt for $1.1 mil. I'm interested to see the choices she makes for Stonestreet now that Jess is gone. So far, so good. I wish her well. I saw no Japanese unless they had an agent I didn't recognize. Usually it's more obvious. The auctioneer made a reference to a really long distance phone call, and I did wonder if they just missed out on one. |

Very nice rebound last night.. It semed like hip after hip raced into the mid 6 figures. Spent quite a while watching the action with Leroy Jolley who had looked at every yearling and shared his notes as they came through. Fun night. Those in the area Saturday can attend the NY bred version..
