It was probably a combination of alcohol and seeing too many replays of Animal Kingdom winning the Derby that sent him over the edge.

I always marvel at the intelligence of these women that hook up with guys that beat the **** out of their mates, this woman has to know he beat the crap out of his wife last year, yet somehow she thinks he'll treat her with kid gloves?

While I am not one to jump to conclusions, as a criminal defense attorney I realize that lightning rarely strikes twice. Considering that this is now two seperate women who have made allegations against him it is hard to believe that he is innocent here. What a real piece of garbage this guy is. If the allegations prove true, he should be prepared to bring his toothbrush to court.

You might want to rethink what you are saying here, pretty old fashioned myopic thinking.

Really? Old fashioned thinking? I know I sure as **** would not be living with a man who choked his wife and beat the crap out of her 12 months prior, what the hell is myopic about that thinking? I call it self preservation.

I don't find her any less of a victim because you assume she knows that he was charged with beating his wife in the past.

I don't consider her less a victim because she chose to live with a woman beater, I feel very sorry for her, I still think she made a stupid choice in light of the fact she no doubt knows his history. |

If this is all true, I hope he gets blacklisted from racing. At least P-Val had some talent worth taking a gamble on. Albarado is a jerk and a bad rider (obviously his crime is way worse too).

Intelligence has absolutely nothing to do with it. It's not about someone getting it through their head that 'hey you shouldn't be with that guy, he hits women.' These situations often happen because of self esteem issues, not the victim being devoid of logic or lacking information. Many incredibly bright women have started relationships they shouldn't have. They've been beaten nearly to death and gone back to their abusers.Takes a lot for many people to get rid of the idea that they deserve what's happening to them when they get hit by a partner. I don't want to assume what's going on with this particular woman, but as for why she started the relationship, it could've well been because Robby swore his wife was lying to cause trouble.

I stopped riding him years ago when I felt the urge to physically abuse him after a race at Keeneland.

Thats nice
I think anybody that would date you should have their head examined. Sweet that you can stereotype that all jockey's are the same.
