RG3 is nothing more than a media cumshot right now.

Blaine Gabbert looked like a pretty good passer running the spread offense against Taco Tech in the Big 12 conference. He was supposed to be more "pro ready" than RG3.

Going into the 2010 season ... these were the only Big 12 QB's to throw for over 1k yards in the NFL...

Quote:
Vince Young, Texas 6,843
Sage Rosenfels, Iowa St.4,156
Seneca Wallace, Iowa St.3,547
Chris Simms, Texas 3,117
Koy Detmer, Colorado 1,944
Josh Freeman, Kansas St.1,855
To this day, the most successful NFL QB from the Big 12 is Vince Young. Vince Young was also a Heisman winner. Not to mention a National Champion winning QB who was evaluted higher coming into the draft than RG3.

I would not trade 3 high 1st round picks and a high 2nd rounder just to move up 4 spots so I can draft the next Vince Young.

After letting it sink in for a couple days, I think this may go down as one of the worst trades ever in the NFL.

Complete panic after Peyton said no thanks. RG III may be the next coming, but nobody knows that.

Carolina has to be laughing their asses off right now. They suffered through one horrible season and used their No 1 pick on a QB that has panned out. Redskins are risking three No 1's and a No 2 on a guy that may or may not pan out. If Newton flopped, Carolina would have had another No 1 this year and gotten one of the top two in this year's draft. If RG III flops, the Redskins are scrambling and overpaying free agents to fill the void left by the four draft picks lost.

Snyder is a double agent for the Giants.

Default From what I can tell....

RG3 is going to be a great pro. If this trade lands them a franchise QB for the next 10-12 years, then the compensation was worth it. RG3 throws a fantastic deep ball, and in this offense I think it's a terrific fit. The next step will be signing a deep threat, perhaps a Vincent Jackson. Is it a bit of a risk yes, hell the kid could slip on a banna peel tomorrow, and your screwed! But I do not see this guy as a Heathbar Shuler, I think he's going to be a great player is the league for years to come. We had to address the QB position in a strong way, after years of average to below average play!

Griffin is going to be a bust. He isn't half the player of Vince Young.

RG III has a higher IQ in his big toe than Young has in his brain.

That will make a huge difference.

I'll admit that I really have no feel about RG3, but Drugs post about Big 12 QB's is very interesting. I guess we will see in the long run, but they gave up an awful lot and are still many pieces away from being a legit playoff contender.

Oh yeah, and most importantly Snyder still owns the team.

LOL I hear about Snyder. But Math a really feel like he's turned over control of signings to Bruce Allen and Shanahan. I think Snyder was the worst owner in Football for over 10 years lol, but I get the sense past couple years he's backed off. It is a wait and see with RG3, Luck and all these guys as always. But this kid seems to have a ton of talent, good work ethic, and great character so I am optimistic at this point.

Sam Bradford would be on the list if it were through 2012
