I honestly think the KY legislature doesn't care a thing about a vibrant horse racing industry. They'd just as soon see those "rich horsemen" and gamblers go away. Not alot of love for the industry, and the locals involved in it, among the greater population outside the bluegrass area.

You can't make money based racing in KY. Will Hall is right.

We all have been guilty of wishing things we the way they use to be. While I am not a fan, there's no question about the positive effects and benefits of gaming being used for thoroughbred horse racing. I wouldn't care to be a patron, but the Instant Racing and Gaming center at Oaklawn certainly has made a serious financial impact and may arguably have propelled the track into one of the best meets in the country.
