Would like to hear from tector and other legal eagles as to the implications.
Clear the way for lotteries but that poker, et al, remain illegal but due to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act as opposed to the Wire Act. That would seems to say that the only thing preventing wider online casino activities is the repeal of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.. Is that a fair reading?

This is pretty significant. Horse racing has enjoyed a blue ocean when it comes to online gaming. I expected movement in this area in Obamas second term but regardless, it's a fairly aggressive interpretation and one which opens the door for a significant amount of online gaming. It's probably no coincidence that it follows a few months after the big poker breakdown.

To extend its reach to Internet gambling and poker was at best a tortured interpretation My great governor never misses an opportunity to headline cash and states that CT will be looking at ways to allow online gambling including poker Now if he only channel that fervor toward rebuilding the manufacturing base that once made this state great
